Profile

I'm cavyion, a Filipino artist and producer from Cavite, Philippines, now based in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I got into music around middle school in 2018. I was listening to Snail's House, hyperpop, and internet rap while also watching K-ON!. The show made me want the kind of collaboration where people learn each other's instincts and make something together. Somewhere between that and all the cute electronic music I liked, I decided I wanted to make cute music of my own.

Before I considered myself someone who made music, I experimented with type beats in Audacity and a USB mic whose name I no longer remember. I mixed everything in Audacity too. Most of my free time still went into developing games.

In October 2023, I bought FL Studio and started making music seriously. I also got a little obsessed with gear and built the setup I still have today: an AT2035, a Scarlett Solo, Sony MDR-CD900ST headphones, Yamaha HS5 monitors, and an HS8S subwoofer.

In 2024, I released Love Live, my first official single and the first song built around a beat I made completely on my own. It landed somewhere around kawaii future bass.

Now I write, produce, record, mix, and master my own music. I still work with other artists and producers when a song needs another voice or a direction I would not reach by myself.
